Join us for a great introduction to the art of Bonsai with Trey from Kota Bonsai. In this class you will learn about the basics on bonsai, repotting, wiring, watering, and most importantly, how to keep it alive! You will also have a hands-on workshop where you will get to pick a tree and pot and make one for yourself to take home!
Each participant will receive:

a 6in Japanese pot

Join us for a great introduction into learn how to build a bonsai forest! Forest landscapes, known as penjing have a great beauty to them as another style of bonsai! This class will teach both beginners and intermediates how to design, assemble, and take home a beautiful bonsai forest
Each participant will receive:
a group of seedlings for forest assembly (around 7-11 trees in varying sizes)
a shallow style forest pot
soil
other components to add unique beauty to the tree and the landscape
Alpine Erodiums are bonsai’s best kept secret! Growing only a few inches tall, but semi-evergreen and flowering a few times a year, these little trees make GREAT mame (tiny) bonsai! This workshop will walk through making and caring for a mame erodium bonsai.

a 2-3in Erodium bonsai tree
a 3-4in Japanese pot
